my course evaluations - YOU KNOWWWW BIOTCH.

First of all, I want to make it clear that I usually dont fill out surveys because I feel as though my opinion means nothing compared to the research money you get from some of the "instructors" at this university. However, I was so dissapointed in my treatment at U of M this semester that I feel I must express this to someone, so here is my HONEST opinion of this class. ALL of the "educational" lectures in this course were a repetition of what we already knew. Everything IMPORTANT that we were supposed to know about clinic was POORLY explained, and I was better off asking a D4 or D3 for a CLEAR explanation of what to do, rather than going to the lectures in this class. The "seminars" and "lectures" were obviously an attempt by the director to arbritarily fill up space in our schedule. Students were treated rudely and the course director had no respect for their time or efforts. The exams in this class were an UTTER JOKE, as it was obvious that the instructor was completely disorganized and had this class as our last priority. Again, I did not take a quarter of a million dollars in loans out to have this kind of poor disorganized teaching at this school. I don't care what kind of top researchers you get at this school, have a TEACHER TEACH STUDENTS, not a researcher. I hope you can fix the problems in this class soon.

However, I was so dissapointed in my treatment by Dr. Hasson this semester that I feel I must express this to someone, so here is my HONEST opinion.
1 - I have NEVER seen such RUDE treatment to students in my ENTIRE EDUCATIONAL CAREER.
2 - COMPLETELY DISORGANIZED - makes up deadlines, schedules final exams DURING finals week.
3 - DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WELL WITH STUDENTS - despite being rude, she doesnt understand our questions and therefore doesn't respond properly. lack of understanding, lack of proper communication back. Any student or faculty member could have walked into her office and seen this treatment
4 - DOES NOT HAVE RESPECT FOR OUR TIME - it doesnt take 1 hr to explain how to mount articulators, we've done this several times last year and this year in RPD. Additionally, class ALWAYS starts 10-15 minutes late, and with a conversation to someone in the front row.
5 - PLAYS FAVORITES - Selectively nice to certain students

Once again, I want to make it clear that I usually dont fill out surveys because I feel as though my opinion is not anonmymous and not read or taken seriously by instructors at this school. However, I was so dissapointed in my treatment by Dr. Tarrazzi this semester and was UNABLE to express these feelings without fear of being graded down or chastized that I feel I must express this to someone, so here is my HONEST opinion.
1 - I have NEVER been so PATRONIZED in my ENTIRE EDUCATIONAL CAREER
2 - ASKED STUDENTS TO SEE THEIR PRACTICAL GRADES IN ANOTHER CLASS - never mind that these sheets have HONOR CODES on them, and the class is not taught by her anyhow. This was asked solely to compare the students to each other and perhaps grade them in their work accordingly. DESPICABLE BEHAVIOR!
3 - GRADES HARSHLY FOR THE SAKE OF DOING SO - despite our 1st trial at making a denture, she expects us all to be prosthodontists and have that quality of work. Upon presenting materials for the SECOND TIME to the Course directors, they graded me CONSISTENTLY as an A, whereas Dr. Tarrazzi continously gave our row C's.
4 - COMPARES STUDENTS WORK TO EACH OTHER - consistently showed me the work of another student in our row, as an example, and USED other students as an example of what NOT to do. This not only ruined the motivation to do good work in this class, but caused me to dislike the course in general
5 - ROLLED HER EYES AT ME - when I answered her question. Can you believe it... from an INSTRUCTOR! i myself was shocked.
6 - DISCUSSES OUR WORK WITH OTHER INSTRUCTORS - other students have heard her discussing the work of our row with another row instructor. our grades and performance should be private, whether its praised or not. UNNACCEPTABLE.
7 - Asked another student for the name of who messed up during the practical - what ever happened to honor codes!lack of privacy
